Payroll Specialist
 

In this 2 person payroll department you will be responsible for the processing of the bi-weekly US and Canadian Payroll Cycle.  Process information for new hires; terminations; status changes; tax changes; deductions; direct deposits; timecards; rate changes; retroactive adjustments; calculation of  flex-time balances; employment verifications; answer employee questions; serve as liaison between off-site facilities and payroll department; assists in payroll research; perform other miscellaneous payroll duties as assigned.

Functional Responsibility

  • Minimum 2 years payroll experience
  • Must have worked with a payroll size minimum 500 employees, including multi-Company, multi-State payrolls. Canadian payroll experience preferred
  • Knowledge of State and Federal wage and hour laws
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll processing preferably with ADP Payroll - Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and computer applications in general
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to interact with personnel at various levels providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling of confidential material
